Very big Congratulations to my Snr Brother, Dr. Uchenna Ewelike, (MBBCh, MPH, MBA, MIAD, FRSPH, PhD) on your well deserved appointment by the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma as the pioneer  Executive Secretary/CEO of  Imo State Health Insurance Agency (IMSHIA). 

Dr. Ewelike, OOM is a visiting Senior Lecturer (Pro bono)  with the Department of Public Health, College of Medicine Imo State University, Owerri. 

When I visited Abuja four years ago, on your invitation for the public lunching of your book, BASICS of HEALTH FINANCING in a DEVELOPING ECONOMY’, I witnessed how big and qualified you are to even manage the affairs of National health ministry.

Since then, I have been addressing you as the incoming Minister of Health. This appointment is one out of many that will come your way Sir.

I am delighted that you accepted and sure that the good people of Imo State will become the highest beneficiaries.

You did well as the State coordinator of NHIS, you will also do more as the Chief Executive Officer and number one Health Insurance expert in Imo State.

My family, friends, Political and business associates join hands with to celebrate you and wish you all the best in your service to humanity.

We extend special thanks to the Governor, for finding you worthy  of this appointment.

UAAG Grant: We Plead with the Government to Lift the Disbursement.

  The poverty in Nigeria is increasing by each seconds because both the State and Federal government are depriving the citizens from available resources. The COVID-19 hoarding of palliatives provided to sustain living was an evident eye opener.  Currently, an international grant to alleviate poverty through UAAG is hanging because of same reasons.  The delay in disbursing the grant is crashing the old wounds of hoarding palliatives by government officials during Covid-19.  All hope to celebrate this year's Christmas with the international intervention of financial grant to alleviation thousands of Nigerians from poverty is dashing. Since October 2022, the anticipation was high that disbursement will of the grand fund will be disbursed before the end of November. Kelechi Iwueze gives unreserved gratitude to his friends for answering his SOS calls for the good people of Agbaja and Nzerem. He extended his thanks to the incumbent speaker, Imo State House of Assembly and his big brother, Rt Hon Barr. Prince Emeka Nduka and his colleagues for their quick legislative response to the urgly state of Nzerem Ikpem road by calling on His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma to declare a state of emergency on that road with a follow up that saw the visit of the Governor to Nzerem for the very first time in the history of Nzerem Ikpem. The Promise made by His Excellency to finish the road within time and subsequent inclusion into the year 2023 Budget is evident that better days ahead for our people.
