The poverty in Nigeria is increasing by each seconds because both the State and Federal government are depriving the citizens from available resources. The COVID-19 hoarding of palliatives provided to sustain living was an evident eye opener.

Currently, an international grant to alleviate poverty through UAAG is hanging because of same reasons.

The delay in disbursing the grant is crashing the old wounds of hoarding palliatives by government officials during Covid-19.

All hope to celebrate this year's Christmas with the international intervention of financial grant to alleviation thousands of Nigerians from poverty is dashing.

Since October 2022, the anticipation was high that disbursement will of the grand fund will be disbursed before the end of November.

The grant contact persons expressed worries while the disbursement is delaying. According to Rev. Ngwaaghachukwu, "all requirements to ensure smooth disbursement has been reached. The Federal Government set up committee to supervise the grant gets to the grantees".

Torchlighting, it is observed that some scrupulous elements want to divert, loot the fund meant for poor people.

The grantees have decried while the government officials will sit on grants released from the international grantors to help poor Nigerians.

It is becoming a tradition within the peripheral of the government to hoard, divert and loot what belongs to the citizens and mostly the poor masses.

There is every tendency that if this grant is not disbursed by the end of 2022, alarm that will stop international grants into Nigeria will raised the those involved will be made to face the wrath of the law.
