In accordance with the clarion call of the Chief of Defense Staff, on the need to engage the youths to reduce crimes, violence, anarchy etc, the Youth Mentorship and Empowerment Tour stands out to bridge the gap.

YMET is set to be a linkage platform between the youth with relevant institutions and stakeholders. The Youth Mentorship and Empowerment Tour is a non-profit, non-partisan initiative opting to be a channel, employment bureau, ensuring economic development of our young people through Free Mentorship Series & data collection for proper documentation & access. The Youth Mentorship & Empowerment Tour, (YMET) with the motto: Positive in Productivity is an initiative that aims to empower the young people through mentorship, empowerment initiative, interactive engagement with relevant stakeholders youth economic development. Most importantly, it an initiating brand of Epic Heritage Hub and open to partner with institutions and stakeholders basically on its objectives.

There is need to collaborate with relevant state and federal characters in linking the youths to benefit from the Federal Government grants, other private and public empowerment schemes.

Following the news on Vanguard newspaper today, The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Lucky Irabor has said that the decrease in the level of youth interaction and alienation in the decision-making processes and developmental activities was capable of fueling increase in violent crimes, anarchy, political instability. Gen. Irabor who spoke during a two day Youth and Security Summit organised by the Abuja Global Shapers on Wednesday in Abuja expressed that the development may lead to destruction of critical infrastructures, loss of livelihoods and by extension, a retardation in the economy and impinged national security in the country.


The CDS insisted that there must be substantial investments in job opportunities, access to education and good healthcare for Nigerian youths to enable them thrive and contribute positively to the society.

Thus, linking capable young people that are willing to work into private and public sector with job opportunities will eliminate crimes, violence, anarchy, drug abuse etc.
